The Cape

Greetings My beloved readers… Has anyone of you see the Batman vs Superman movie yet! Allow me to say, it was indeed a great movie. I am team SUPERMAN, so I am looking forward for the next one. In addition, my outfit was inspired by the movie. I know you see my cape lol, I may not be able to fly with it but I looked pretty fly with it lol.

Anyway, as a Christian, I struggle a lot with what is appropriate to wear or not. Now I just leave it up to God to help me find the next outfit. Yes, I pray on what to wear too, because as a woman of God I cannot look just anyhow. Also in His Words He says “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you. Psalm 32:8” When you allow God to come live in your heart, He will transform you for His glory to be done in your life. Don’t get dress to impress this world, get dress to impress our Father.

Grandma Hat & Faux Fur

For this outfit, I walked into a thrift store and the first thing I saw was that hat. I immediately thought of my Nanna because she loved wearing those hats. I purchased it right away and I decided to style in my Nanna’s honor before I send it for her to Haiti. Styling it was not so hard at all. After I figured out what I wanted to wear with the hat, everything else was just a walk in the a park. The shoes correlated to both the hat and the dress. Then I spiced it up with a nice short sleeves/faux fur coat, furred clutch and a beautiful faux purled necklace. I try my best to keep my outfits as simple as possible so my readers don’t have a hard time in case they try to recreate them. However, let yourself be inspired so you can inspire. Inspiration is the key to a creative mind.

Black & Gray + Nature

imageimage  image image Hello everyone! Hope you all welcomed the week with Christ. And I know that it is the first day of school in my hometown, so I pray that everyone including the children had an amazing day in school today. Anyways, I went to see my dentist today for my second annual cleaning, received some bad news about my wisdom teeth which I have to pull out other than that everything went really smooth. For my outfit, I was scrolling through Pinterest and came across a picture of the amazing Christine Centenera, one of the best stylists in the game right now, and I fell in love with her outfit and I wanted to recreate it and I couldn’t think of any other days than today to do it.

It was quite an easy outfit to put together. Also, even though we are not wearing the same thing, our outfits are quite similar, or must I say ‘close enough’. However, in contrast of our outfits, she is wearing all black, as for me I could not find those shoes in black so I bought the only pair they had in size 9 which was gray. I pulled some strings and made it work with black skorts, a beautiful black sheer blouse, and black leather jacket to wear since places are always cold, then I carried a gray satchel purse to compliment the shoes and voila I was ready to rock the outfit. I have gotten a lot compliments as usual but I felt so good to say that I was inspired by that amazing woman. It is okay to be inspire by other people, things, or places because without inspirations there would be no creativity. Just make sure when you are recreating an outfit, you have some ‘you’ in it as well. And always be proud enough to give whoever and whatever inspired you the credit they deserve because without them you wouldn’t be rocking your outfit. Other than that, always keep in mind that you’re bringing those garments to life, so be confident and stay beautiful!
