The Process

First: Measure the pillow that you are going to use to get the best fitting for your case.

Second: Use a sharp pair of scissors to cut through the fur.

Third: Use a needle and a color for the thread that matches the color of the fur

Fourth: Start sewing your case.

S.N.: If you don’t want the corner of the rug to show, bend it inward as you sew…

Success

Hello Hello Hello everyone… By the grace of the Almighty, we made it through the week now we are making our way to attack the weekend. So, I pray that you all make it through safe. I did a little DIY for you guys and I hope that you find it easy to do on your own.

I’ve always wanted to have some fur pillows but everywhere I went they were too expensive. So I have decided to make my own fur pillow. Last night, I went to Ross and found the perfect faux fur rug and the first thing that came to my mind was “hmmmm i can make my pillows with this.” And the awesome thing about it is that, IT DID NOT BREAK MY WALLET, LOL. It only costs me $24.99 plus tax. For pillows, I had some extra ones on my couch, so I ended up using them. All in all, it was pretty easy and time consuming. It took me about 3-4 hours to do both pillows. However, I am happy of the outcome. I hope you enjoy them and try to make it instead of spending a lot of money just to get one fur pillow.

For steps, check under the 5th picture!

Plaid & Leopard

IMG_0269IMG_0262IMG_0263IMG_0264IMG_0265IMG_0266IMG_0268IMG_0261Hello everyone, I pray that you all are doing wonderful… I know I was gone for a few months, but I am back stronger than ever by the grace of God. I took a few times off to get some things in my life situated and I was overwhelming myself with so much that i found myself lost in the midst of them all. However, the love of Christ helped me through it all. SO, I AM BACK!

To come back, I decided to wear this beautiful plaid dress coat with some leopard print heels. It was kind of hard to come up with something last minute since it was pouring but it came out pretty nice.

As a Christian, you have to be very careful with certain outfits that you find comfortable. I know that it can be really difficult. However, it’s nothing that can’t be resolved with a little prayer. When you wake up each day or each time you are getting dressed ask God to guide you and for Him to reflect in you. As for me, it’s a little bit easier for me, styling is a gift that God has favored me with. At time I can close my eyes and pick out my next outfit through my entire closet, but many times after I choose an outfit God guides me to another outfit of which He wants me to wear. So you can never be too sure about an outfit. Sometimes you may picture it in your head but don’t come out the way you expected it to be. But when you allow God to direct you, everything comes out perfect. “In all your ways acknowledge God, and He shall direct your path. Proverbs 3:6

I love this outfit because it’s edgy and bold plus it complemented my hair lol. The necklace touch in this outfit, to me, makes the whole outfit. It’s classy and sexy at the same time. All in all, remember that you are representing Him everywhere you go, so be yourself and look your best.

Hello Springs

Happy Easter my beautiful readers. Today is just a day to remind us of God’s great love for us ” For God so love the world that He gave His only son, so that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16″ He died for our sins and raised in victory. So let us rejoice because there is hope.

So this is my first post of  year. I am sorry about the long wait but I wanted a break to focus on my relationship with God.

I see that it’s already spring. Wow, time is flying… However, while I was offline I put a few outfits together for you guys. And most of you already know, I don’t really go anywhere, majority of my posts are outfits I wore to church. For this outfit, a friend of mine, who is also a blogger (kerennesview.com), went shopping and spotted this blazer and thought it looked like me so she bought it and shipped it from Boston to Florida for me. So I thought what better way to start spring than this awesome printed blazer. To put the outfit together, I focused on one color out of the blazer for the remaining pieces. The blazer already has a lot going on in it so I didn’t want to overshadow it so I picked a dark color and kept it as simple as possible.

Spring is the season for prints. So don’t be afraid to showcase the type of prints you like to wear this season. Just always remember you don’t want to clown yourself with so many colors. You can always keep it simple even with the prints. Just pick which piece of your outfit you are showcasing and keep the rest as simple as possible.
